Two minutes. Share a few details and Brody Schelhaas will reach out personally.
Thank you, we'll be in touch.
Your information is received and stays confidential. Here's what happens next:
- A personal call within 2 business days
- An informal conversation about your goals
- Next steps only if and when you want them
An owner-operator, not a fund.
Most buyers calling trade contractors are private-equity roll-ups looking to flip in five years. We're buying one business to run and keep. That changes how we treat your people, your customers and the legacy behind your name.
Buy to keep
No exit clock. The plan is to own and grow the business for decades.
Same crew, same trucks
Your team stays, your customers keep the people they trust, and your name stays on the door.
Flexible terms
Full exit or a transition role, seller financing or a clean close. We build it around what you need.
Quiet by default
Every conversation is confidential, with an NDA in place before any financials are shared.
Acquisition criteria
If your shop fits most of these, we'd like to talk. If you're not sure, reach out anyway. The conversation costs nothing.

60–120 daysWe'll plan the master electrician handoff with you.
Every Minnesota electrical contractor must name a Responsible Licensed Individual, a licensed master electrician who is an owner, officer or full-time employee. For many owners, that license is the biggest question about selling.
We plan for it from the first conversation. Common paths:
- AA licensed master already on your team steps in as RLI.
- BYou stay on as RLI for a defined, paid transition period.
- CWe bring in a licensed master electrician to join the company.
Frequently asked
Straight answers to what owners ask us most.
Is this confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between us. Your employees, customers and competitors won't know we've talked unless you choose to tell them, and we sign an NDA before reviewing any financials.
Do I need to be ready to sell right now?
No. Many owners we talk to are planning one to five years out. An early conversation helps you understand what your business is worth and what a transition could look like.
Are you a private equity firm?
No. Schelhaas Capital is an independent holding company buying a single business to own and operate long term. There's no fund and no plan to flip the company.
What happens to my employees?
They stay. Your crew is the business, and keeping them is a core part of every offer we make.
Will I have to stay on after the sale?
That's your call. Some owners want a clean exit, others want to stay involved for a while. Any transition role is agreed up front and paid.
Do I need a broker?
You're welcome to use one, but you don't need one to have a first conversation with us.
